BAY COLONY CLUB JULY 21, 2011 BOD MEETING - SYNOPSIS

Board Members Attending: Paul Barros, Wilbur Bullock, Joyous Burkart, Danielle Harrell, Bud Lauer, Malachy Smith

Board Members Absent: Bill Brady

Miscellaneous Other Attendees: Colleen, BCC Manager

BCC Owners Attendees: 26 (est.)

Agenda Amendment:  Agenda amended to consist of 6 rather than only 1 item.  For amending: Barros, Burkart, Harrell, Lauer, Smith   Against: Bullock

JUNE 16, 2011 Minutes: Read, amended and approved

President’s Report:  Saundra Zubko and Rochelle Bisaillon added to Interview Committee.

Treasurer’ Report:  Treasurer Brady absent, no report given.(Some discussion over lack of regular financial reporting.)

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Interview:  3 sales, 3 leases and 5 second occupants.  (Present total number of renters a mystery to management and BOD.)

OLD BUSINESS

Agenda Items: Three BOD signatures required three days before agenda posting (48 hours prior to meeting) to set agenda items.  Unanimously approved.

Rules & Regulations:   No progress on update due to no input from Brady.

NEW BUSINESS (Added Agenda Items)

Security:  A general discussion of security items, including dock and seawall work in progress; barricades and safety lights.  No motion made or resolution.   

Leasing/Purchasing Forms & Procedures:   No motions and no resolution.

Rules & regulations:     No motions and no resolution.

Landscaping:  No motions and no resolution

Comcast:  Manager to check on Comcast providing closed circuit TV channel(s).

Meeting adjourned at 9:00. .

Open Forum

Many thanks to Bev Houston for providing meeting facts.
 
NOTES:  This meeting was a total waste of time for BOD members and owner attendees.  WHAT WAS ACCOMPLISHED?   HOW ABOUT SOME LEADERSHIP?
(1) STILL no open forum as part of the meeting agenda.  Unless the open forum is on the agenda and is conducted and recorded as part of the official BOD meeting it is a frivolous waste of time. 
(2) STILL no updated Rules & Regulations.  The U.S. Constitution was written and approved in less time.  LET’S GET ON WITH IT FOLKS!

I'd say Joyous just guaranteed another employee lawsuit!! A lil bird emailed me this little piece of tabloid tidbit and it's a doozy!! When will she learn to keep her mouth on a lease like she should her little doggie? Inquiring minds want to know more about this situation. Hmmmm...I'm just sayin'.

Hello All
 
I have forwarded this email to Sheila so that she can be confronted by her accuser/s which is the only ethical thing to do and I am here-in requesting an ethics hearing to be held regarding this matter by only board members that have not been involved in such accusations and insinuations against her.   She must be given a right to answer in all fairness. 
We all promised transparency – let’s get it done!   
I will not be party to covert communications which are designed to sever relationships because of secrets.

Apparently Manager Colleen has had a job offer - her old company wants her to come back. She isn't very interested because they won't be paying her as much as she's getting here at BCC.

Talk around the community is, that a new Board next February (which DEFINITELY won't be the current one!) will make her the first "casualty" - maybe she should rethink carefully about that job offer ... ?

In my opinion, it would be a serious mistake to terminate Sheila. I have found her far more competent and knowledgeable than ANY former or present employees OR board members.

Apparently some people are displeased BECAUSE she is not servile enough to satisfy their high opinion of themselves. WHERE ARE THE NEW RULES & REGS????!!!!! WHY ARE WE STILL CONCERNED WHERE AND WHEN THE MUTTS POOP???!!!
