The major board actions (as noticed
on the agenda) of outsourcing grounds maintenance and changing security
providers managed to drag an additional 7 people out to the meeting for a total
of 29 attendees. (August's meeting had
22 attending.) Significant actions at the meeting
were:
- Security contract moved to Allied Barton as of December 1, 2012 at an annual cost of $271,253
- Rec 3 roof to be replaced by DEK Roofing for $29,775
- Replacement of the Rec 4 ice machine for $3,220 was ratified
- Landscaping and irrigation is to be outsourced to US Lawns at an annual cost of $119,289
- Pool maintenance is to be outsourced to Sparkling Pools & Spas at a cost of $1,350 per month.
- Rec 1 pool to get new Diamond Brite coating for $6,500
- Treasurer Jack Israel again said that we will probably face increased maintenance charges next tear in order to get needed and delayed maintenance done. Still no indication of the amount of increase.
